Lesson 4 Reflection

I thought that I had learned a handfull of things in lesson 3 but lesson for was crazy. there was plenty of things that i know now. I learned how to compose a  MLA style paper. MLA stands for Modern Language Association which are guidelines that tell you howw to provide all types of sources such as books, articles, and online sources. A report is a formal document that describes or represents in words, facts and information. An MLA report consists of a header, page numbers, heading, body, and an endnote.You use citationws at the end of a report to indicate where you got your information from. a header is the text that appears at the top of every page that includes your name, teacher, subject, and date.

Lesson 3 Reflection

I think that lesson 3 was the lesson that I learned most on. I have always known how to compose a letter, but I have never known how to compose a business letter or a personal business letter. I also learned how to do mail merge. Mail merge will always help me in the future because now i kno that I will not have to waste my time trying to type individual letters out to peopll when i am trying to send information. I even learned how to create multiple envelopes at once without having any problems. I can use these tinngs in my everyday life because they are efficient ways to complete a task quickly and easily. Composing a letter is not that difficult any more. All you have to do is use MLA format and you are good to go. Mail merge on the other hand can be difficult at times, but once you get the hang of it it is actually kind of cool to see all the messages that you have made in such a little amount of time. It took me a while to get my envelopes to look right at first aswell but after i tried a 3rd time I finally fixed my mistakes. Lesson 3 was actually pretty fun now that I think about it.

Mail Merge

Mail merge is an application on microspft word that allows you to produce many copies of mail and envelopes. The purpose of mail merge is to make copies of something that you would like to send to multiple people without re-typing it over and over again. Someone would usually use mail merge when they are trying to send out invitations to a party or send thank you cards. it is a very efficient and quick way to send information out to multiple people.

Business and Personal Business Letters

3. The only difference between the two letters is that the personal business leters do not have letterheads when the business letters do.


There are two types of letter formats that we are dealing with. The styles are Business Letters and Personal Business Letters They both use block style format because it makes the letter appear cleaner. The main difference between the two is that a personal business letter does not use letterheads when the business letter does.
1. Block Style Format is easy to use and has a clean, organized look in which all lines of the letter are left aligned.
2. It is important to format a business letter correctly because when someone is trying to read your business letter you don't want to sound stupid if it is wrong.

Tables


Tables are boxes that are connected to eachother showing information about certain things. Tables allow you organize your information neatley. An open table is a table that has no lines seperating the boxes of information. Box tables are the complete opposite.Tese are tables that have lines seperating the boxes of information. To Vertically center your table you have to right click, select table properties, and select Center. To horizontally center a paper you need to do everything that you need to do for center align but instead of clicking center, click horizontal. The most important keys to use while using tables are the arrow keys and the tab buton.

Alan turning- Alan turning invented the turning machine and computability.
Robert Metacalfe- He was developer of the ethernet and other internet related technoloogies.
Paul Allen & Bill Gates-  Both invented Microsoft windows and the started the personal computer era.
Michael Dell- He invented the Dell computer which today consists with more than 100,000 team members.

Where Does The Time Go?

Time management is one of the most important things you need to do while having a job or trying to make it through high school. It helps yo ukeep everything in check. I have absolutely no time in my week because I have other very important things that need to be done. I get atleast 8 hours of sleep a day. I don't spend a lot of time grooming myself because I am a male and there is not much to groom. I may be a small person but i do eat a lot. I do not do much traveling on the weekdays. I basically just go to school and come straight back home. On the weekends I travel for a good amount of time. everyday After school I practice drill team from 3-5. I do not have many chores in my household. I also do not study at all. Most of my time goes towards the television and my phone. I really need to manage my time better because I have no time at all.

Ergonomics at work.

Ergonomics is the was someone waorks at thier work computer. Everyone should care about ergonomics because it can be dangerous at times. The best position for your chair is comfortabley reclined and at a slight slouch. The best position for your keyboard  is angled up and under the monitor. Your monitor should be as far away from your face as possible, but where you can still read it. Lighting is very important because it can affect your eyes and hurt your back and head. We need to include movement and activity in ergonomics because it decreases stress and pain. It also helps you stay as loose as possible.

When I was born on July 11, 1997, I was named Andrew Christopher Sanchez. At that time my family included my sister, Alandy and my mother, Alba. Since then, my family has grown my adding my dog Oreo. We presently reside in a house in Conyers GA.
An early childhood memory includes when my family and I went to Disney World on a vacation. My sister and I tried to ride every single ride in the Magic Kingdom and the Animal Kingdom. As a child i was happiest when I was 10. Now that I am fourteen, I worry about how a tiny little freshman like me will make it in this big high school. However I always get excited when i have great classes with some of my best friends.
My hobbies include baseball and basketball. My favorite hobby is baseball because i love the game, it is the family sport, and it is great excersize. One word I would use to describe my personality is enthusiastic. I chose this word in particular because i am always happy and excited. i usually make the best out of every situation without a problem.
I am in this class because I enjoy using computers and I find them very interesting. I hope to learn the different types of ways to use a computer and find shortcuts. When I complete this course, I will use my computer skills to hopefully find a successful job dealing with computers. One thing that I think you should know about me is that i am Dominican and I speak fluent spanish.

Culteral Autobiography

I am a male that grew up in Maryland with a single family household and was raised by my mother. In my household were my sister, Alandy and my mother, Alba. We were a part of the middle socioeonomic status. My mother was employed. I had some responsibilities growing up. While growing up, I spokeenglish and spanish. My ethnicity is Dominican. When I misbehaved, I wassometimes diciplined. My mother was very lenient.
